Chess, but every capture is a fight. Chess Fighter is a turn-based strategy game on a real 8x8 board. The pieces are 25 playable fighters, and taking one starts a rock-paper-scissors duel in an arena pit, won with abilities and finished with a finishing move.

Every fighter has an ability, a rival, three costumes and a live-action full-motion-video ending in the style of 1998 arcade cabinets. There is an arcade tower, versus against the CPU or a friend on one screen, and online rooms for up to 8 players where the winner stays on.

It plays in landscape, in portrait on a phone, or as a flat 2D board, and is built to run on modest hardware.
